Psychoactive Eucharist

As it turns out the thesis that the Eucharist is an empty pastiche of an original psychedelic ritual is slowly gathering historical evidence. The dominant Christian institution (academia) has long repressed the psychedelic origins of the faith, prosecuting throughout history the consumption of such “magic potions” as paganism and witchcraft. And yet we are only now beginning to discover that ancient greek culture was a psychedelic culture, possessing an advanced degree of bio-technology. Wine in this era (a period of some 3000 years, before Christ) was fortified wine, that is it was nearly always mixed with a complex mixture of botanicals, many of which had psychotropic properties. The principle religious traditions of that era, the Mysteries of Eleusis, the cult of Dionysius, the cult of Mithras (Roman), deployed such magic potions in annual rituals (the original set and setting). The Early Christians appropriated the popular god Dionysius (who was referred to as the “son of god” and who was “born of a virgin”) and turned him into the amalgamated literary character known as Jesus Christ; they retained the symbolism of these rituals (the eucharist) while criminalizing the substance (the medicine: Pharmakon Athanasias). So begins the destruction of antiquity and the beginning of the dark ages (in which we are still living).
