God is a Terrible Person
The malevolent god thesis is an old gnostic doctrine that claims that Yahweh, the god of the Jews and the Christians is neither good, nor all-powerful, but rather is a murderous and sadistic hack. We can find evidence for the malice of this mean and deranged god all throughout the bible. This is a self-proclaimed “jealous god” who prefers that you suffer rather than doubt him. He is vindictive and cruel and hates unbelievers. Having created a shitty world he blames Eve for fucking it up and curses her with painful childbirth. You will notice that this god is a fair representation of what the primatologist will refer to as the dominant male. He is a god of war who desires bloodshed and destruction: when he does not firebomb a sinful (gay) city, he destroys the world with flood. He kills the first born children of Egypt and continually curses, exiles and slaughters his chosen people; and yet they continue to believe that he is just. Indeed, this god’s so called “justice” can be seen throughout European history in the form of inquisitions and executions, crusades and conquest, enslavement and genocide, murder and misogyny. Even the son of this god, sent to save the world, threatens those who do not follow him with eternal torment in the lake of fire; only a sadist could dream of such a place. And yet it is a dream that the Christians, inspired by their violent god, have exceeded at turning into a reality.
